Mahatma Gandhi, along with his followers, walks from Sabarmati Ashram to Dandi, Gujarat to make salt. In 1930, Gandhi walked 241 miles in 24 days to reach Dandi in Gujarat. He then defied the law by making salt. It was a non-violent strategy adopted by Gandhi to oppose the British rule in India.
